Q: Do I need any special clothing?

A: Not to begin with. Kids should wear lose fitting clothing like shorts/joggers and a t-shirt. Older worn cloths are better, we don’t want anything nice and new to get ruined. The traditional uniform worn is a Gi or Kimono which can be purchased for around £30-£40. We don't recommend you buy this immediately but recommend you rather wait a few weeks. We'd also recommend you look out online for special offers the various suppliers have from time to time. Please buy a BJJ specific uniform as the material is much thicker and stronger than a traditional karate uniform as this is important for grappling.

Q: Do I have to pay by direct debit?

A: Yes, all academy fees are collected via a direct debit system.

Q: Do I have to sign a contract?

A: There is an initial 60 day contract term, followed by 30 days’ notice to cancel the DD.

Q: My child has never done martial arts before, how will they fit in with others at different levels?

A: We are running both beginners and advanced classes giving your child the chance to start or continue their martial arts career in the appropriate setting.

Q: What are the class fee's.

A: You can choose to attend any combination of the classes available at your level.

·          1 class per week @ £25/month DD

·         2 classes per week @ £30/ month DD

·         3 classes per week @ £35 / month DD

Q: Can I stay and watch the class

A: Yes, there are places for you to sit and watch the classes in action but don't feel obliged to stay. We ask parents to please help us and keep the volume levels down so the kids can focus on the lessons as much as possible.
